Air purifier inspection standards and methods

Air purifier is a commonly used small household appliance that can eliminate bacteria, sterilize and improve the quality of living environment. Suitable for infants, young children, the elderly, people with weak immunity, and people with respiratory diseases.

How to inspect air purifier? How does the professional third-party inspection company test the air purifier? What are the standards and methods for air purifier inspection?

1. Air purifier inspection-appearance and workmanship inspection

Appearance inspection of the air purifier. The surface should be smooth, without dirt, uneven color spots, uniform color, no cracks, scratches, bruises. The plastic parts should be evenly spaced and without deformation. There should be no obvious deviation of the indicator lights and digital tubes.

2. Air purifier inspection-general inspection requirements

The general requirements for air purifier inspection are as follows: Household Appliance Inspection | Household Appliance Inspection Standards and General Requirements

3.Air purifier inspection-special requirements

1). Logo and description

The additional instructions should include detailed instructions for cleaning and user maintenance of the air purifier; the additional instructions should indicate that the air purifier must be disconnected from the power supply before cleaning or other maintenance.

2). Protection against contact with live parts

Increase: When the peak voltage is higher than 15kV, the discharge energy should not exceed 350mJ. For live parts that become accessible after the cover is removed only for cleaning or user maintenance, the discharge is measured 2 seconds after the cover is removed.

3).Leakage current and electrical strength

High voltage transformers should have adequate internal insulation.

4). Structure

-The air purifier should not have bottom openings that allow small objects to pass through and thus come into contact with live parts.
Compliance is determined by inspection and measurement of the distance from the support surface through the opening to live parts. The distance should be at least 6mm; for an air purifier with legs and intended to be used on a tabletop, this distance should be increased to 10mm; if it is intended to be placed on the floor, this distance should be increased to 20mm.
- Interlock switches used to prevent contact with live parts should be connected in the input circuit and prevent unconscious operations by users during maintenance.

5). Radiation, toxicity and similar hazards

Addition: The ozone concentration generated by the ionization device should not exceed the specified requirements.

4. Air purifier inspection-inspection requirements

2

1).Particle purification

-Clean air volume: The actual measured value of particulate matter clean air volume should not be less than 90% of the nominal value.
-Cumulative purification volume: The cumulative purification volume and the nominal clean air volume should meet the relevant requirements.
-Relevant indicators: The correlation between the cumulative purification amount of particulate matter by the purifier and the nominal clean air amount should meet the requirements.

2). Purification of gaseous pollutants

-Clean air volume: For the nominal clean air volume of single component or mixed component gaseous pollutants, the actual measured value should not be less than 90% of the nominal value.
- Under the single component loading of cumulative purification amount, the cumulative purification amount of formaldehyde gas and the nominal clean air amount should meet the relevant requirements. -Related indicators: When the purifier is loaded with a single component, the correlation between the cumulative purification volume of formaldehyde and the nominal clean air volume should meet the requirements.

3). Microbial removal

- Antibacterial and sterilizing performance: If the purifier expressly states that it has antibacterial and sterilizing functions, it should meet the requirements.
-Virus removal performance
-Removal rate requirements: If the purifier is expressly stated to have a virus removal function, the virus removal rate under specified conditions should not be less than 99.9%.

4). Standby power

-The actual measured standby power value of the purifier in shutdown mode should not be greater than 0.5W.
-The maximum measured standby power value of the purifier in non-network standby mode should not be greater than 1.5W.
-The maximum measured standby power value of the purifier in network standby mode should not be greater than 2.0W
-The rated value of purifiers with information display devices is increased by 0.5W.

5).Noise

- The actual measured value of the clean air volume and the corresponding noise value of the purifier in the rated mode should comply with the requirements. The allowable difference between the actual measured value of the purifier noise and the nominal value shall not be greater than 10 3dB (A).

6). Purification energy efficiency

-Particle purification energy efficiency: The energy efficiency value of the purifier for particle purification should not be less than 4.00m"/(W·h), and the measured value should not be less than 90% of its nominal value.
-Gaseous pollutant purification energy efficiency: Purification The energy efficiency value of the device for purifying gaseous pollutants (single component) should not be less than 1.00m/(W·h), and the actual measured value should not be less than 90% of its nominal value.
