With the continuous expansion of free trade zones and the gradual tilt of national policies, China’s foreign trade is about to embark on a new wave. Currently, the world’s unilateral trade led by the United States will inevitably become a world’s diversified trade, and a new pattern of world regional economy will be formed where three major regional economies, led by the European Union, led by China, and led by the United States, coexist and benefit each other.
For the automotive industry, there are currently 2143 automobile production enterprises in China, covering 11 categories including semi trailers, sedans, off-road vehicles, buses, tractors, trucks, special-purpose vehicles, dump trucks, agricultural vehicles, electric vehicles, and motorcycles. However, the base of purchasing power in China is almost a stable value, and the number of newly produced products and eliminated products cannot match each year, which means that more automobile products are in a state of unsold.
In terms of the world, there are more countries that have a large demand for automobiles and do not have R&D and manufacturing capabilities, such as the Third World, Türkiye, the failed country in World War II, and most countries in Southeast Asia.
So after the completion of international automotive certification, vehicles can be exported to countries with automotive demand to expand market share.
With the development of the automotive industry, in order to meet the needs of domestic/regional automotive safety, environmental protection, theft prevention, etc., countries/regions around the world have successively established automotive product certification systems that are in line with their own countries/regions;
Among them, the EU’s type approval system (E/e-mark certification), the US’s self certification&mandatory recall system (DOT/EPA), and Japan’s type designation and type notification system are the most mature, while most other countries/regions draw on or refer to these three systems;
The other relatively complete ones include China’s CCC certification system, the Eurasian Economic Union’s EAC, the Gulf’s GCC certification, Iran’s ISIRI, South Africa’s SABS, Thailand’s TISI, Australia’s ADR, Chile’s 3CV, Brazil’s LVCM and CAT, etc.
Certification process:
1. Target Export Country Confirmation: Confirm the target export country.
2. Export Country Policy Confirmation: Confirm the policies of the export country.
3. Certification Organization Confirmation: Confirm the certification organization.
4. Cooperate with factory inspection
5. Certification Project Confirmation: Confirm the certification projects.
6. Sample Vehicle and Sample Parts Preparation: Prepare sample vehicles and sample parts.
7. Sample Submission and Testing: Submit samples for testing.
8. Data Provision: Provide relevant data.
9. Certificate Acquisition: Obtain the certificate.
