Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) provides new guidance for small air conditioners
On December 27, 2022, SASO provided new guidance for small air conditioners, which will take effect on January 2, 2023. The submission of functional requirements related to cooling and heating performance will be terminated. Functional requirements related to cooling and heating performance (if applicable) shall be tested and included in the test report. The test report shall include rated cooling capacity and rated cooling power of total cooling capacity and semi-cooling capacity (if applicable). The statement of compressor stages (fixed cooling capacity, two-stage cooling capacity, multi-stage cooling capacity or cooling capacity) specified in Clause 3.2 shall be included in the test report.
