The method of testing an upper depends on the attribute being tested, here are a few common test methods:

1.Tensile Strength Test: Pull the upper hard to measure the force required to break the upper.

2.Abrasion test: contact the shoe upper with a friction plate or directional sandpaper, move it repeatedly horizontally and vertically, and measure the degree of wear of the shoe upper within a specific test time.

3.Stretch test: Stretch the upper between two support points to measure the elongation and elastic recovery capacity of the upper.

4. Water pressure test: Part or all of the upper is immersed in water, and the time for the upper to penetrate the water and the size of the cells in the upper are measured.

5. Hand feel test: Touch the upper with your hands to evaluate its touch, softness and texture.

Note that specific testing methods and standards may vary by region, country or industry. Therefore, first of all, a third-party testing laboratory with specific standards must be identified in order to effectively test the quality of the upper.
