According to № 102-ФЗ «Об обеспечении единства измерений» signed by the Russian Federation on June 26, 2008, instruments with metrology and measuring functions are required to present a metrological registration certificate (свидетельство об утверждении типа СИ) if they are put into use and imported into Russia. This certificate is a document issued by the Russian Federal Metrology Supervision Agency through the evaluation of the technical documents of the measurement product and the test of the product, which is a compulsory certification certificate.
